Portland, OR was rated #3 on the “Greenest Cities in America” list put together by The Green Guide in 2006, and their eco-friendly accolades keep on coming. “Urban Pioneers” are flocking from across the country to live in the nation’s first large-scale residential high-rise redevelopment that is has gone 100% green. And this doesn’t just mean homes that utilize non-toxic paints and energy-efficient appliances. The sustainable project includes a mile-long, 150 foot wide natural habitat for birds and wildlife.
